Soundscape

  1. This soundscape is very serene and relaxing. I can definitely see it in a transitional movie scene, where the characters are traveling or something of the sort.
As far as manipulation of space goes, I think you did a very good job at keeping the space limited in accordance to the picture where the focus of the image is very much in the foreground. I think this is accomplished by the shallow layering of sounds. They all weave together so well that it seems very up close. Even so, with the little bit of echo added there is a hint of depth, just as in the picture. With both the sound and the image the focus is up close, but the back ground is lingering.
This approach also helped to create the manipulation of time. The music was very repetitive and static, so just as there was not much dynamics to the image, there was not much to the song. The only thing I didn't really get from the soundscape was a causal or semantic sound, it almost seemed more like a song to me. However that could definitely be me overlooking part of it.

  2. I think that this is such a pretty soundscape. This is nothing like the others I have listened to, and it also describes the picture that you posted above it so nicely.
You effectively manipulated space in this work. You didn't really stray much from the middle which I think was a very good choice. If you had, the picture that you had would have not described the soundscape. You have some sounds that sound like they are in the background, which I think you were using to describe the tree and the birds but they are a mere shadow to the man standing right up front.
Your manipulation of time was also right on. the music you had created was similar to each other and there were no parts of it that seemed to go faster or slower.
